I began my career over 20 years ago at an Oakland, California auction gallery managing fine art and antique estate auctions. At age 26 I became the gallery's first female auctioneer - a full-time post I held for 3 years before relocating to Colorado, the place my husband, children and I are proud to call home.
Since 1997 I have worked for and with a wide variety of nonprofits in communications, event planning and fundraising. In 2010 I launched HLQ Events to work with my nonprofit clients directly and personally as an event planner and consultant. In 2012 I was called back to the auction block to do my favorite job ever - auctioneering.
Today I enjoy the brainstorming co-planning process of building an auction almost as much as the delivery of a successful event as a benefit auctioneer.
